Ridin 9 to 5. The scenic route.

Sunday we joined Zach's cousin Travis and his wife Amber and some of their friends for a nice scenic Sunday cruse. We started in Sandy at Jim's diner for Breakfast, then headed up immigration canyon then through every Mt. pass ( NOT HWY. ) till we came out Provo Canyon. It was a long, BEAUTIFUL ride. I didn't realize Utah had so many lakes and Res. We passed 6 in all. We went through so many small towns I never knew existed. It was really a neat ride. I look forward to the next.

While My sister Jennie and her kids are in town I wanted to make sure we were able to do something fun and cheap as a family. So why not go to the Spanish Fork Res. It was a lot of fun for all. I only wish the sand was softer. Can't complain when it is free.

Hey kids we live next to 7 peaks.........Don't they them the truth. Some more fun at the neighbors playing on their slide. I guess we will have to buy the next one when theirs gets worn out.

Brooke with her friend Christine riding at the church. We took the training wheels off yesterday and she is riding like she was born to bike. No accidents yet cross our fingers and she rode from our house through construction through the church parking lot and to her friend Christine's with out stoping or crashing. Yea Brooke.

We love it when the cousins from Washington visit. We are lucky that Brady and Clayton have got to spend a lot of time together. Clayton has been able to stay at our house. He is such a good, polite, sweet kid. Jennie took them to Clayton's old splashing grounds the PG pool. They had a really good time.

Springville Art City Days parade. It was a perfect day over cast no rain. A little chilly but no sunburns. Then we did the fireworks in the evening too with the kids and their friends. I just forgot the camera for the fireworks and am kicking myself, lots of great pictures to be taken.

So the kids wanted to go the the Children's art fair. So we loaded up the 3 daycare kids and my own 3 and walked to the art museum for the fun. It was worth it lots to do for free. We also had my neice Isabell and Nephew Elliot join us. We made it home just as it started to rain am I good or what.

Brookelynn's 5th birthday. Every year on their birthday it's tradition to make them their favorite breakfast. We also let her open one present in the morning. It was a new swimming suit and a water slide.


In the evening we had a party with family and friends. But the highlight was her face when she got her Tiana and Naveen dolls. She has wanted them since before the movie was released.

Summer Fun

Our great neighbors the JUDDS have the greatest blow up slide and are always willing to let my kids come over and play too. It makes the summer that much more bearable thanks for the good memories.

The big 5

For the grandkids 5th birthday Grandma and Grandpa Alvey take the kids for the day on an adventure to Build-A-bear.

They drive up to Sandy for lunch at the Myan, then they catch the Trax train and ride it up to the Gateway. They get to go to Build a bear and get to pick their own bear, ( Grandma has a thing for bears so it has to be a bear ) an outfit, and a few extra accessories. The also got to play in the fountains at the gate way. Normally it is only the birthday kid who goes but Jenna had a few bucks to burn and Brookelynn didn't mind the extra company. Those pictures are on grandma's camera so will be posted later.

Hogle Zoo for Momorial weekend with the Harpers.

We had a good weekend spending time with our GREAT friend the Harper's. We went to the Zoo, BBQ, and for a ride on the motorcycles. It turned out to be a great weekend. And much needed since I get only a few days off a year.
